Now that the 2026 Oscar Awards have come and gone, I’ve had a good amount of time to ruminate on the celebrity red carpet looks.

When the Oscars roll around every year, us viewers get to celebrate our favorite films as well as participate in a display of high fashion. Sometimes, the red carpet can feel more competitive than the actual awards.

The way we fashion lovers react can almost be equated to the way sports fans react to their favorite team winning or losing a game, or their favorite player not performing with their usual skill. When a celebrity that I follow steps onto a red carpet in an outfit that I would never personally put them in, it almost feels like they somehow missed the mark on my behalf. I start to wonder if I should just become a celebrity stylist myself (as if it’s that simple).

Yes, I hear the parasocial quality to what I’m saying; however, if I were a celebrity, I wouldn’t be caught dead looking anything but stunning on the Oscars red carpet. When you have all the resources in the world--money, stylists, access to insane archival pieces--I feel as though there is no excuse to not absolutely wow me. As my friends and I watch from the comfort of our couch, we somehow become the most qualified voices in fashion while simultaneously being the most unqualified people imaginable. Now that the Oscars are over, I’ve compiled a collection of my absolute favorite looks; the ones that, in my personal opinion, really delivered.
