Tulane Alum and Bridal Designer: Lela Orr at NY Bridal Week
When Lela Orr started at Tulane, designing wedding dresses was not the career she had in mind. Fashion, designing clothing, and sewing were just fun passions that she enjoyed and did well. She was the closet and costume friend that everyone called up for Halloween, Mardi Gras, and just about any fun night out in Nola. But after graduating from Tulane and majoring in business, she decided to head straight to the Big Apple to work for designers and brands. From there, she began to realize that not only was she good at designing and creating, it was her passion.

Matthieu Blazy and Jonathan Anderson, the two Creative Directors everyone's talking about and no one can stop thinking about. Straight from Loewe, Anderson made his transition poignant during his womenswear debut at Dior, reimagining the future while embracing the house’s rich history and signature elegance.

New Orleans Fashion Week 2025
This NOFW, champagne poured from the skirt of a Rococo-clad hostess, antique dollhouses upstairs, and a runway that traced New Orleans’ bridal history. Bonnie Broel’s brides walked in their original gowns, followed by Stephen Goudeau’s modern, architectural designs that redefined what “the bride” can look like today. The night ended in true New Orleans fashion: with a jazz band and a second line through the mansion.
Valentino SS26: Fireflies
On October 5th, the Spring 2026 Valentino show took place at Paris Fashion Week. Named “Fireflies”, the show was inspired by a letter written to a friend by Pier Paolo Pasolini (Valentino’s former creative director) about a time in 1941 when, in the midst of World War II, he saw a field full of fireflies and imagined them as a metaphor for hope and resistance during times of conflict.
From Coco to Blazy: The Evolution of Chanel's Creative Vision
Unlike his predecessor Virginie Viard, who maintained Lagerfeld's shadow, Blazy has established a distinct creative vision that honors Coco Chanel's innovation while embracing contemporary energy that many fans of the house have craved for years. This isn't your grandmother's Chanel—it's a messy, layered, exhilarating reinvention that suggests the house's most exciting chapter may be just beginning.

Sheer black skirts, bold gold chains, and a full-on revival of boho-chic—evoking serious 2005 Phoebe Philo-era nostalgia. And in a full-circle moment, Phoebe’s daughter, Maya Wigram, even walked the show. Prada delivered raw femininity with tousled hair and clashing florals. Meanwhile, Miu Miu’s take on the "cool girl" was pure perfection—think knee-high socks, retro layers, and effortless attitude.
