Matthieu Blazy and Jonathan Anderson, the two Creative Directors everyone's talking about and no one can stop thinking about. Both designers took us out of this world with their debut shows during Paris Fashion Week 2025. Blazy’s Chanel SS26 marked a triumphant introduction to the new head of the house. Straight from Loewe, Anderson made his transition poignant during his womenswear debut at Dior, reimagining the future while embracing the house’s rich history and signature elegance.

Founder of JW Anderson in 2008, former creative director of Loewe from 2013-2025, Jonathan Anderson jumps headfirst into his new role as creative director for Dior. As Paris Fashion Week 2025 neared its conclusion, as did the Spring/Summer 2026 fashion season, Anderson unveiled his debut women's ready-to-wear collection for Dior. The fashion house released a statement that this collection would serve as an “ode to past designs.”

“Daring to enter the house of Dior requires an empathy with its history, a willingness to decode its language, which is part of the collective imagination, and the resoluteness to put all of it in a box,”

"Not to erase it, but to store it, looking ahead, coming back to bits, traces or entire silhouettes from time to time, like revisiting memories." - Dior

The feeling behind the vision of the show was for it to represent and bring to life harmony and tension. Floral shapes, bunny ears, gold detailing, and glimpses of glitter are what brought Anderson's debut collection to life. This collection told us how important an accessory can be and the magic within the smaller details. Simplicity, elegance, and playfulness are what define Anderson’s design attitude and were exhibited exquisitely in his debut Dior collection.

“Truth to tell, Anderson is not afraid of history; in fact, he revels in it.”

All within the details:

“Charming and cute for some, weird and fantastical for others, and with swathes of sellable merchandise in between: Anderson has pulled off this feat before at Loewe. Those who stood to applaud him at the end of the show are convinced he’s about to revolutionize Dior’s appeal in the same way.” - Vogue Runway.

Mattieu Blazy’s Chanel SS26

After three notable years at Bottega Veneta, Mattieu Blazy embarks a new era as newly named creative director of Chanel. The highly anticipated show marked an end to this year's Spring/Summer fashion season and earned a well-deserved standing ovation.

Blazy stayed true to Chanel’s classic tweed suits, twisting them into new directions, embracing movement and fluidity with more and higher slits and lighter construction. He embraced Chanel’s notable tradition and timeless tweed looks and modernized them, unleashing excitement for the new chapter of Chanel. A new era of Chanel accessories arose as well from Blazy’s debut. There was nothing subtle about Blazy’s accessories in this collection, with oversized feathered bird-like hats, loud and bold brooches, chunky statement jewelry, and layers upon layers of beads.

In these uncertain and often daunting times, we may find ourselves in need of escapism. To flee to a place where our world and future feel anew and filled with reimagined hope. Mattieu Blazy took us into his imagined galaxy, exploring the freedom of choice, modernity, and, of course, style.
