The Super Bowl for supermodels made its highly anticipated return. Some got their wings back, others just earned theirs. The Victoria's Secret angels took flight on the catwalk for a show that took us right back to where it started.
The hour-long show was an exciting mix of music, sexiness, and sass from all our favorite models. It had up-and-coming models who have kicked off their careers in recent fashion seasons but were yet to get their wings. It also embarked on the return of some of Victoria's Secret’s most notable angels, like Adriana Lima, Candace Swanepole, Gigi, and Bella Hadid.
But what's made the Victoria's Secret show so iconic for so many years? What is the secret?

Let's take a look through the wings at how our favorite supermodels prepared for the 2025 Victoria's Secret fashion show.
The morning of the show, all the models slip into their angelic uniform of a Victoria's Secret lingerie set and the pink and white striped robe with their name engraved on the neckline. The models sit and wait for their hair, makeup, and nails to be done before stepping into their look for the show. As hoped, the hair stylists delivered blowouts… finally. After last year's slight disappointment in the lack of blowouts and influx of slick-backs, fans were pleasantly surprised at the amount of blowouts that finally returned to the catwalk. Although, in my opinion, I still think they could have been bigger…
While there are tons of glitz and glam involved in prepping for one of the most highly anticipated nights of the year, nerves stirred the air backstage. Model Barbra Palvin was a “nervous wreck” before the show, she shares in an interview with USA TODAY.

To calm herself from the nerves that come with walking in a Victoria's Secret fashion show, she begins a breathing routine just before she stuns the catwalk and hugs her arms tightly around herself.
Adriana Lima, the most notable Victoria's Secret angel, also still needs to calm herself before the show: "A few minutes before the show, I like to meditate, I like to use my essential oil, I usually mix between tangerine and lavender." - Adriana Lima
Other models shared candid Instagram photo dumps, giving us a glimpse through the wings of prepping for the show.
This year's Victoria's Secret fashion show embraced beauty in new ways by opening the show with pregnant Jasmin Tooks who looked absolutely radiant showing off her baby bump, WNBA player Angel Reece getting her wings, Olympic Gymnast Suni Lee stunting the catwalk, and hosting fabulous female musicians, Madison Beer, K-Pop group TWICE, KAROL G, and none other than Missy Elliot.
For a show with a massive reputation behind it, this year had a pleasantly surprising outcome. Although some may say the blowouts could be bigger, this year was a major step forward from last year's Victoria's Secret show 2024, sparking lots of conversation and many complaints. The 2025 Victoria's Secret show embraced the iconic-ness of their early 2000’s shows while redefining angel-like beauty in modern ways.
